in the swap meet at Mopars at the Strip event, I was reminded often of why Mopars have such a junkyard - redneck reputation,

While it's kinda cool to see a formerly panel painted early 70's Charger....

this run down, raced out, jury rigged Duster just bugs me for looking so shoddy
postable gas tank in the engine bay means the real gas tank is rusted out, or the fuel pump is busted, etc etc

Yikes, a culmination of bad 1980's custom body mods

I do like this front end used as a table, that is swap meet chabby chic. I like it.

Ms Horsepower's 68 Charger.. maybe the coolest looking Mopar at the strip

Balck and red everywhere... damn this was a great looking car. O... yes, the owner is a woman, she races it, she's incredibly the most beautiful woman that I've ever seen near a Mopar, and of course she's married. Why her license plate gives the impression that she is single I didn't ask.
The hood is not original because she didn't want to cut on the original. It's in her garage.

Cool side exiting exhaust as well as great rims

Notice the street class- 2009 event winner decal on the wind wing. Wow.

In the staging lanes at the LVMS, during Mopars at the Strip

 Awesome headlights

Plexiglass over the grill to get rid of the parachute effect, cowl induction to make use of the high pressure area in front of the windshield. Doing what works best, not what Chrysler engineers and designers had to do to get cars made

This is a Charger. Not the Dukes of Hazzard one we all are too aware of, this is the Shelby variety. Shelby never worked with Mopar in the musclecar era, he waited til the late 80's and the Turbo era

The above is the inspiration for so many people to airbrush rivets and aluminum panels onto their cars, but the above... it's the real deal fuel door and super big wing. Park bench size for Pete's sake. You could use it for having lunch on between rounds down the dragstrip. I love this hobby, Mopars, and drag racing. This car really puts it all in one. You could find nirvana on the exhaust fumes from the Sunoco 110 alone.

Pink Mopars... the only pink musclecar? Probably. Yes, I know that Chrysler called the colors nice names, like Panther Pink, and Moulin Rouge. FM3 was the paint code, but pink never seemed wrong on these beasts

1971 Barracuda, the coolest accessorized body for Mopars in my opinion. The shark gills, the shaker hoods (normally), that great grill, the driving lamps under the bumper, hood pins, and the billboard engine size call out. Wow, it got all the cool stuff

I was wrong when I called the 340 Wedge hood decal the best and biggest factory engine size call out. I forgot about this, the 1970 Charger hood cove decals. These are real uncommon to see, I have no idea how few were ever sold on cars from Mopar, vs how many have them installed by eager owners... but wow, impressive and bold

Chargers has the flip top cap on the drivers side, and Challengers on the passenger side. I don't know why.
