Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Jumat, 13 April 2012 | 15.23

With all these crazy internet videos of mostly amateur drivers performing amateur yet often dangerous stunts on and off the road in Saudi Arabia, one has to believe that owning a car dealership and/or a repair shop must be an extremely lucrative business in the country.

Carscoop reader 'Stallion' tipped us off about another mishap that occurred on the sand dunes of the Saudi Arabian desert when the driver of a 2012 Lexus LX 570 somehow managed to flip over the large SUV.

Judging by the cheering and the claps in the last of the three videos, we're going to assume that no one was hurt in the accident.

Lexus Takes a Page from Apple to Create its own 'Genius Bar' of Tech Specialists

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Kamis, 12 April 2012 | 14.22

If it works for Apple, then maybe it can work for Lexus. We're talking about Apple's so-called 'Genius Bar', which is a communal-style help desk located inside the company’s retail stores.

For those of you wondering why car dealership customers would need a technical support station, all you have to do is look at the increasing number of electronic gizmos found in modern day vehicles, especially in the luxury car segment.

According to Forbes, Lexus will create its own version of Apple's 'Genius Bar' at its U.S. showrooms and for this reason, many of the company's 230 dealers in the country will increase the number of people who work in their sales department by as much as 20 percent.

Vincent Salisbury, training manager at the company’s Lexus College brand-education enterprise, told the magazine that some 2,400 people will pass through two-and-a-half-day training sessions in California by June for this matter.

Lexus Unveils Sleek 2013 ES 350 and ES 300h Hybrid Sedans at the New York Auto Show [Pics & Video]

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Rabu, 04 April 2012 | 09.03

Blame prior experience, but of all Lexus models, the last one you would expect to impress with its styling would be the ES, yet the Japanese automaker did precisely just that with its sixth generation mid-size sedan that was officially revealed today at the New York International Auto Show.

With the 2013 model, Lexus has turned the ES from a bland mid-size model to a sleek looking sedan, which most other carmakers today wouldn't have a problem describing it as a "four-door coupe".

Even though the new ES incorporates the brand's latest design language as seen on the 2013 GS for example, the overall result is much crispier and cleaner.

In terms of dimensions, the wheelbase of the new ES has been lengthened by 1.8 inches, while the overall length of the vehicle has grown by just one inch. Lexus promises a more spacious interior as knee room is increased by 2.8 inches and legroom by 4.1 inches. According to the company, the new design also offers additional foot room below the front seat.

The cabin itself has been designed from scratch, with the dashboard reminding us that of the new GS sedan. Among other notable features is the availability of the next-generation Lexus Enform system, a Display Audio package that adds a seven-inch screen, a backup camera, HD Radio with iTunes tagging, Bluetooth audio, phone transfer, and a vehicle information display.
