Another Alleged Sudden Acceleration Incident from South Korea, this Time Featuring a BMW

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Rabu, 09 Mei 2012 | 17.23

After an alleged sudden unintended acceleration crash involving a latest generation Hyundai Sonata YF in South Korea spread like wildfire across the news, the local media discovered a supposedly similar incident concerning a BMW model.

And like the Hyundai accident, the terrifying BMW crash was also filmed from a dashboard mounted camera.

The video shows the car gaining up speed with the driver swerving through traffic on the highway to avoid crashing for about 20 seconds but in the end, he smashes into another vehicle that had slowed down due to traffic. This event took place in South Korea on November 5, 2011.

8-Year Old Boy Plays in Mom's New BMW, Ends Up Crashing a House

Parents should always be aware of the fact that boys will be boys, meaning one should avoid leaving an 8-year old kid alone in a car with the keys on the ignition because he just might want to try out the view from the driver's seat, which is what happened today in a neighborhood in Boston.

The unnamed 8-year old boy from Dorchester was left unsupervised in his mom's new BMW 328i sedan, which was parked on a driveway on Mascot Street.

The youngster was waiting for his mother to drive him to school but apparently, he felt the need to hop into the front seat, turn on the engine, place the car in gear and stomp on the gas pedal.

Alleged Hyundai Sonata YF Sudden Acceleration Crash at 117km/h Captured on Video

No doubt, you have all heard about the sudden acceleration problems that plagued the Toyota Group, mainly in North America, for a couple of years. Now, a driver is putting the blame of a car crash that occurred this past Sunday, May 6, 2012, in the South Korean city of Daegu, on a sticky accelerator. The said car is the latest generation Hyundai Sonata YF sedan.

What makes this incident of particular interest is that it was captured on film by a dashboard mounted camera in the Sonata, which is something we don't remember seeing before in crashes relating or alleged to be related to sticky accelerator pedals.

The 30-second long clip shows the Korean sedan stopped at a light with a previous generation Hyundai standing in front when the Sonata appears to accelerate. At this point, we hear a conversation from the driver and passengers as well as a sound that may or may not be from the handbrake being lifted.

Chuck Norris Approved: Driver Bails Out Just Before Truck Crashes

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Selasa, 08 Mei 2012 | 12.06

If this camcorder footage is for real - and we cannot stress that enough, then we have a potential candidate for the "Chuck Norris Approved" video of the year award.

The dashboard camera video shows a speeding truck crashing into a series of concrete barriers before it slams into another structure residing in what looks like a park on the side of the road.

What makes this incident amazing is that the truck driver seemingly jumped out of the vehicle seconds before the crash and made it out unhurt. Watch the video after the break and tell us what you think.

Reckless Gypsy Horse Racers Cause Chaos on Irish Freeway

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Senin, 07 Mei 2012 | 08.46

One of the last things you expect to see on a busy freeway is two people racing horse-pulled carts yet this is what happened in Ireland when two gypsies or as they are locally called, Irish Travellers, took to the roads.

We do not have specific details on when and where exactly this somewhat surrealistic incident took place, but video footage that has been circulating around the web shows the two men riding their sulkies all over the road, even entering the opposite lane in complete disregard of approaching traffic.

Audi R8 Drifts, Smashes Into Lada Rolling it Over, then Runs Away from the Scene

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Sabtu, 05 Mei 2012 | 12.10

There seems to be no end in sight to the crazy stories from the wild, wild East that is Russia's roads. Today, one of our readers tipped us off about this footage showing an Audi R8 making a very quick U-turn on a central road, somewhere in Russia.

For a couple of seconds, all seems to be going well but as the German sports car enters the straight it smashes onto the side of what looks like an older Lada Samara, knocking the Russian sedan over.

While we see people running to help the driver of the green sedan, the R8 coupe makes a run for it passing a red light in the process.

Throwing Yourself in Front of a Car Can Prove Hazardous for Your Health in Russia

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Jumat, 04 Mei 2012 | 11.54

You cannot even commit suicide in Russia these days without getting your arse whooped, though to be honest, the jury is still out on whether the man seen in this video was attempting to end his life or if he was trying to pull an insurance fraud.

Whatever the case, the driver of the vehicle was in no mood for games and beat the living daylights out of the man seconds before the police arrived – which is a strange coincidence in itself.

Surprisingly, the man in the car drove off as if nothing had happened. Watch the dashcam footage in the video after the break.

Japanese Owner Finds Lost Harley Davidson from 2011 Tsunami Washed Out on Canadian Beach!

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Kamis, 03 Mei 2012 | 15.48

What are the odds of finding a motorcycle that was washed away during the horrific tsunami that hit Japan's northeast coasts on March 2011? Near impossible, you say? You are probably right, yet that "one in a million" chance happened to a Japanese man who lost his Harley-Davidson motorcycle more than a year ago.

The bike turned up in a makeshift container some 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles) across the Pacific Ocean on a Canadian beach!

On April 18, 2012, Peter Mark from Canada was riding his ATV, exploring an isolated beach in British Columbia's Graham Island when he came across an open white trailer that had washed out from sea

Upon closer inspection, Mark saw a rusted motorcycle with Japanese license plates along with a few more objects such as golf clubs, tools and camping equipment lying around in the container.

"The door was ripped off it and I could see a motorcycle tire sticking out," he told CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Cooperation). "So I went closer and looked inside and saw a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. It defies all logic. I cannot for the life of me figure out how that stuff stayed in there. The motorcycle was not strapped down. Everything was just laying loose on the bottom of the floor."

Another Vietnamese Cop Taken for a Wild Ride on a Fleeing Truck

After watching the second incident in less than a month of a Vietnamese police officer jumping on a moving vehicle to confront a driver that refused to stop, we can only assume that this is something that must happen on a regular basis in the country.

In the previous episode, it was a passenger bus, while now, the camera of a passenger in an adjacent vehicle filmed a Vietnamese cop clinging on to the windshield wipers of a large truck.

Watch Lizzy Musi's Crash from Multiple Angles and How the Cameraman Jumped at the Last Moment

On April 20, Lizzy Musi made the news when the 21-year old drag racer and daughter of veteran racer Pat Musi lost control of her 1968 Chevrolet Camaro during the third qualifying session of Summit Racing Top Sportsman at the 2012 ADRL Spring Drags III at Bristol Dragway.

The Camaro turned sideways and went airborne before it violently crashed onto the left wall. To make a bad situation even worse, Musi's car headed towards the camera operator positioned behind the concrete wall before coming to a stop in the grass on the side of the track.

In this new video that contains footage from multiple angles, we see the crash in detail and how the camera operator literally jumped over the wall at the last moment (see 2:35" into the clip), a move that most certainly saved his life.

Amazingly, no one got hurt from the forceful accident. You can watch the video footage for yourself right past the break.

How Not to Transfer an Expensive Excavator on Sea

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Selasa, 01 Mei 2012 | 07.07

Some Greenlanders found a rather innovative but very costly way to create an artificial reef under the sea while attempting to transfer a brand new Manitou excavator to a nearby island on a barge pulled by a tugboat.

Evidently, there was some sort of miscalculation of the weight or the placement of the heavy machine and as a result, the excavator fell into the water. You can watch the video right past the break.

Taxi Driver Runs Over a Man After Being Attacked in Montreal [Warning Graphic Content]

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Senin, 30 April 2012 | 15.29

What started out as a war of words between a 47-year old taxi driver and a 23-year old passenger quickly escalated to a hit-and-run incident that took place in Montreal, Canada, around 4 am this past Sunday, April 29.

Canada's Ottawacitizen identified the cab driver as Guercy Edmond, 47, of Laval, and the young man as Benoit Kapelli, 23.

The police have yet to determine what caused the conflict though at least two separate eyewitnesses recorded the incident on film. According to the first person that videotaped the scene, it all started when for unknown reasons a passenger slammed the door of the Toyota Camry cab.

"It began with one of the passengers slamming the door to the cab too hard on exiting the cab," wrote YouTube user Ilaneloc.

"Cab driver jumped out and confronted him on the sidewalk while the other passengers remained inside to pay. I left the scene as the verbal conflict escalated, presuming it would run itself out... I returned home to hear the commotion outside, where the conflict had escalated and the cab driver was aiming his cab in the wrong direction down St-Laurent towards the former passengers," explained Ilaneloc.

Gone with the Wind: Scooter Rider Edition

The vast majority of bikers involved in an accident, no matter how small it may appear to be, will at least sit down to take a breath even if they are not hurt, but not this scooter rider who crashed into the side of a Toyota Camry while attempting to cross through a road without paying attention.

The man literally spun around himself almost touching the ground and immediately left the scene running towards the same direction he was heading with the scooter!

If you have any idea what just went on here, feel free to enlighten (or humor) us in the comments section that follows below the video.

Unbelievable! Sewage Cover Sends Land Rover Freelander Into a Flying Somersault

Written By Ishimaru Kaito on Kamis, 26 April 2012 | 18.24

Imagine driving on a quiet street at low speeds when of all a sudden, without any warning or another car involved, your vehicle goes flying into the air.

Crazy as it may sound, this is what happened to a driver of a Land Rover Freelander earlier today in the Russian resort city of Sochi, which by the way, will host the 2014 Olympics Winter Games…

If you watch the first video that was shot from a dash mounted camera on a following vehicle (don't take into consideration the date, it's wrong), you'll be inclined to believe that the SUV fell into an uncovered sewage hole on the road causing it to flip over.
